Amidst the many new vehicles introduced at the Paris Motor Show, BMW also presented some of the new innovations inside the ConnectedDrive platform. At the 2010 Paris Motor Show, BMW showcases a globally unique technology for integrating BlackBerry smartphones in the car, which among other things permits the display of emails including the text-to-spoken language function. BMW won't comment on the availability for other smartphones, but their development team is working on the integration with other mobile platforms.

Due to its close cooperation with Apple tree, BMW also presents the new Bluetooth interface technology that was created for the Apple iOS 4 operating system and allows the new Apple iPhone 4 to be integrated. Integration with other devices is available as well, as shown in the videos below.

Some other innovation shown in Paris is the iPod Out function, which optimizes the functioning of diverse Apple tree music players in the vehicle. Nether its ConnectedDrive effort, BMW announced it has implemented a Wi-Fi network in the 7-series, making it possible for passengers to use iPads and laptops while on the go.

Some of these features are coming to the U.S. market as well, while others will remain available only for the European market. One of them demoed below is the Alive Goggle box feature which remain an European-only option.
